Dawes Highway Safety – a young innovative business in the technology sector. Dawes have designed and patented two products, created to reduce the risk of serious injury or death for cyclists and pedestrians.
The Dawes Highway Safety website had been created by James Dawes, the Managing Director. James has a very impressive background, as an experienced Traffic Sergeant with the Metropolitan Police, but by his own admission he has limited commercial experience. As a result, he knew he needed support with his marketing, and his brand needed to be stronger, so he could promote the business with confidence.
There was no marketing collateral for the business, so James had nothing to leave when he met a potential customer.
James wanted help with his website, plus the branding and marketing of his business, to give him a solid foundation to grow.
What We Did:
We felt his branding needed some small design tweaks, which we did. We also created branding guidelines, to ensure the brand remained consistent. We created business stationery and a number of document templates for policies, proposals and presentations.
We created a fully content managed website on the WordPress platform. We made sure we added plenty of gallery options so images could be loaded of the product when fitted to heavy goods vehicles.
Blogging and social media has been a key part of promoting the Dawes name and getting coverage online and in print, so that was also built in and made prominent.
We have also designed an exhibition stand, stickers for promotional giveaways, and leaflets for trade shows.
Our Marketing Director continues to work with James on the commercial aspects of growing his business.
James is incredibly pleased with his branding, website and strong online presence.
The company has achieved a number of industry and business accolades including winning Test Valley Business Award New Business of the Year 2016 and Inspire 16 Innovation of the Year.
The business now has an impressive database of contacts and is making good progress with sales enquiries. They are set up to have a very successful future.
